ABSTRACT

Objective@#To understand the epidemiological characteristics and differences of HIV-positive cases among 15-24 years old in Jiaxing city and provide evidence for the development of targeted prevention and control measures.@*Methods@#A descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the data of HIV cases aged 15-24 reported in Jiaxing from 1999 to 2018.@*Results@#A total of 375 cases of young HIV were reported in 1999-2018, with an average age of 21.29±1.90 years, of which 42 were students. The ratio of male to female was 2.47∶1. The proportion of foreign household registration was higher (76%, 285 cases). The proportion of off-campus youth cases in total cases showed a downward trend(χ2=8.26, P=0.00), but the proportion of student cases showed an upward trend(χ2=15.73, P<0.01). Off-campus youth cases were mainly heterosexual transmission(59.16%, 197 cases), and the students’ cases were mainly homosexual transmission(88.10%, 37 cases). There were significant differences in gender, age, household registration, education level, route of transmission, late detection, CD4 level and source of detection among students and off-campus adolescents(P<0.05).@*Conclusion@#The prevalence of AIDS in adolescents and students is worthy of attention. The characteristics of adolescents inside and outside the school are different. Targeted prevention measures should be taken to reduce the harm of AIDS to young people.

ABSTRACT

@#Scoliosis seriously affects the physical and mental health of children and adolescents. Without timely screening and intervention,it will lead to increased deformity, decreased labor capacity, cardiopulmonary complications, back pain and even paraplegia. This article reviews screening and intervention strategies for scoliosis at home and abroad. It concludes that there is lack of scoliosis screening in children and adolescents in China, and the screening results are difficult to compare horizontally because of the significant differences between strategies. It is suggested that scoliosis screening should be included in school healthcare work and formulate strategies with higher accuracy and safety. At the same time,three-dimension technology has good prospects in scoliosis screening and intervention, which is worthy of further development.

ABSTRACT

Objective To learn the change of causes sequences, the pattern and dynamic trend of causes of death for the inhabitants in Jiaxing from 2009 to 2014, and to provide a major reference for health decisions and disease control and prevention. Method This study was based on chronic disease surveillance information management data in Zhejiang province from 2009 to 2014. ICD-10 criteria and method was used to classify the causes of death. To evaluate health status of those residents, the relative health indicators such as mortality rate, constituent ratio, PYLL, AYLL, PYLL‰were used. Results The average mortality rate of residents was 691.92/100 000 of Jiaxing from 2009 to 2014, with male 760.73/100 000 and female 624.64/100 000 (the average mortality rate of male was significantly higher than that of female, χ2=455.52, P<0.01). The top five causes of death of local residents were malignant neoplasm, respiratory system diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, injury and poisoning, heart diseases, which accounted for 87.95%of all deaths. The mortality caused by malignant neoplasm was 189.53/100 000, which accounted for 31.90% of five main death causes (the rate of male was significantly higher than that of female, χ2=3767.70, P<0.01). The PYLL of malignant neoplasm were 38 368 years, which was the main reason. The AYLL of injury and poisoning were 9.58 years. Conclusion The average mortality rate of residents has been declining across the Jiaxing, but the mortality rate of malignant neoplasm is increasing year by year. The data suggested that malignant neoplasm, cardiovascular disease, unintentional falls, motor vehicle traffic accidents and pneumonia are major factors affecting the health of the population.

ABSTRACT

Objective From October 2010 to explore the current situation of hypertension control and its influencing factors among geriatric patients in Hangzhou,Jiaxing and Shaoxing in Zhejiang province. Methods To April 2011,10 644 geriatric patients aged 60 years and over were included, and related questionnaire survey, physical examination and laboratory examination were carried out.The situation of hypertension control and influencing factors were analyzed. Results The control rate of hypertension was 38.6%,and its standardized rate was 27.6%.It showed that female, inhabited city, high level of education degree and regular exercise were positively correlated with hypertension control, while age, smoking, high salt diet and abdominal obesity were negatively correlated with hypertension control, and standardized treatment had a close relationship with hypertension control. Conclusions The situations of hypertensive control among geriatric patients in Hangzhou,Jiaxing,Shaoxing in Zhejiang province are still unsatisfactory.Strengthening standardization management measures for improving the control rate of hypertension is needed and has actual value.

ABSTRACT

Using the method of stratified random cluster sampling,8 996 elderly hypertensive patients in community were selected in the study.Patients entered the community-based hypertension program receiving stratified management, individualized treatment and health education. After 3 years of intervention, the disease awareness rate, treatment compliance rate and hypertensive control rate were increased from 68.30%,55.40% and 38.60% to 98.90%,86.70% and 77.80%,respectively (P <0.05).The systolic and diastolic pressure, body mass index, triglyceride levels and other hypertensionrelated indicators were improved significantly, the number of individuals with obesity/overweight,smoking and drinking were decreased and those with regular exercise increased (all P < 0.05).The results indicate that community-based comprehensive hypertension management is effective for hypertension control for elderly patients in community.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the application of “expert-guided network tracking system” in training community general practitioner for hypertension management. Methods Total 855 general practitioners (GPs) from 20 community health service centers in Hangzhou,Jiaxing and Shaoxing of Zhejiang province were divided into two groups: 430 GPs from 10 community health centers received training for hypertension management using “ expert-guided networking tracking system” (intervention group) in December 2008 and 425 GPs from another 10 health centers received conventional training (control group).Questionnaire surveys about the knowledge and skill of hypertension management were conducted before and 3 y after training. Results The awareness rates of knowledge about hypertension prevention and control,non-drug therapy and drug therapy increased from 37.0% (159/430),45.6% (196/430),42.8% (184/430) to 66.8% (284/425),81.4% (346/425),77.6% (330/425),respectively and the accuracy of case analysis increased from 38.4% (490/1290) to 73.3% (946/1290) (P <0.01) after training in intervention group.Meanwhile the knowledge and case management abilities in control group were also improved after conventional training, but the degree was significantly lower than that in the intervention group. Conclusions “Expert-guided networking tracking system” can significantly improve the knowledge and skills for hypertension management in community general practitioners.
